| 0:35.2 | podcast brought to you by Basketball Monster. My name is Josh Floyd, and if you make me mad, I'm going to run you down with my car. I'm also the lead fantasy analyst at Basketballmonster.com, and thank you for making locked-on fantasy basketball your first listen every day. We are free, we are available on all platforms. We are part of the number one sports podcast network, the Locked-on Podcast Network, so thank you again for pushing us up to number one. We're talking about the action here for what day is it? Wednesday, seven games on. We're going to get into talking about those games because there is a bit for us to talk about. I should have done that little transition into this little screen because I just want to give you a couple of little news updates as well before we get into the actual games We've got some news on Yaka Pertl who was with the Raptors on their road trip But he's not on it anymore They send him back to Toronto. He's got a specialist appointment for his back tomorrow. That's not a good sign I just don't know when he's coming back I don't know what is going on with this scenario It continues to go on and on and on. I fear when he comes back, he's still going to miss back-to-backs and he's going to be unlimited minutes. So if you wanted to drop him because you need IL space, I get it. I just don't know when this is happening. Absolutely no idea. We also got the update on Kevin Porter Jr., who now has an oblique strain. And Doc City is going to be out for a while. I'm just going to make that All-Star Break. |
| 1:45.7 | That's my guess. |
| 1:46.4 | Obliq strains, we saw those with Franz Wagner and Polo Bancair last season, about two months each. I'm not saying that Porter's going to be out that long. There's been a couple of others in between that haven't been quite as long. But that's bad news for Porter. We'll talk about the Bucks and their line up today. |
| 2:00.5 | They started Gary Harris for some reason. |
| 2:03.0 | Not even Gary Trent, Gary Harris. That was Miles Turner out. This is huge for the value of Ryan Rollins. Deeper leagues, maybe Cole Anthony. We'll see if he gets into the game today and what they do with those plethora of nonsense guards that have that run off the bench as well, but it's not great news at all for |
| 2:18.0 | Kevin Porter who had an ankle injury than a knee injury and now an oblique injury, which is going to |
| 2:23.6 | end up ruining what was going to be a pretty good fantasy season from Kevin Porter. |
| 2:27.7 | And then Larry Markanan is still out against the Spurs on Thursday with the illness. |
| 2:32.9 | They've also put Keontay George on the injury report with a forearm sprain, whatever the hell that means. So if he is out, then you're going to get a lot of collier and a lot of Clayton and more sensible, who's still also questionable with an illness. So I can't tell you how real these illnesses are. Apparently the Lowry one is real, but I don't know. I just, I don't know. Does Nirkage play after they beat the wolves with his triple double? Or do they not start him? I just, again, I don't know. Hopefully we get early word of that tomorrow, but with the jazz and what they plan to do each game, it is still very much up in the air. Let's talk about the first game of the day. Caves Hornets was the first game. Cleveland wins at 94-87, incredibly low-scoring game. Dean Wade pushed back to 27 minutes here in his second game back. That's important. Four, nine, and four with a steel on a block. Not because we're adding Dean Wade, but because him pushing those minutes up, it does just take away from everyone else. |
| 3:25.2 | And the big loser today was D'Andre Hunter, who played 13 minutes. |
| 3:28.9 | He had four points. |
| 3:29.6 | He did have some fouls a little bit. |
| 3:31.7 | He was just putrid. |
