I am Sarah Jane Case, and this is Anya Graham and Coffee.

Hi friends, happy Wednesday. Welcome back to the podcast. Today, I am answering questions texted

0:17.0

in from you. Questions like, is the Anya Graham Christian? Can therapy change your Anya Graham

0:22.7

type? Is it possible to not have a wing and more? But first, today's rosebud and thorn.

0:29.7

Okay, so my rose for today is that back at Christmas time, I did our Christmas decorations,

0:38.5

and for the first time in my life, I got candles just for the season so that our house would smell

0:44.6

like gingerbreadty and Christmassy, and ever since then, so twice now, I have replaced the old

0:54.8

candles at the beginning of the new season. So we just did our spring candle re-up, which means

1:01.1

I got to pick a new scent for this season. And this is really fun for a couple of reasons. One,

1:06.4

I used to be kind of a candle hoarder. Like, I wanted to get candles, but I didn't burn them

1:18.1

scared of not being able to buy them again. And so seasonal candles kind of has helped me to

1:24.5

really just use and enjoy this really small kind of luxury thing. That's one reason this is

1:32.0

awesome. The second reason this is awesome is that our scent is so deeply tied to memory.

1:39.2

So if you buy the same candles all the time, you aren't getting to create like a specific

1:46.6

sensory memory related to that time period. But yesterday, I still had one Christmas candle left,

1:52.9

and I lit it and just smelled it. And I was like, oh my gosh, this brings me right back to what

2:01.6

Christmas was like for us this year, which is a really good time. And so just smelling that smell

2:06.4

took me back. And that is a really fun way to get to experience life a little bit more deeply

2:15.0

for those that are curious because I'm nosy and I would be curious. Our spring sense, I did like a

2:21.7

citrus mint situation. So all of the candles we got have some form of like citrus bright mint

2:29.9

lemon orange kind of deal. Okay, my thorn right now is that every once in a while as a person,
