On the eve of his Passion, while still free, Jesus transformed this Last Supper with the apostles into the memorial of his voluntary offering to the Father for the salvation of men: "This is my body which is given for you." "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

0:23.9	And the lectionary today, if you go to Mass, you'll be looking at Matthew chapter 26 versus 14 to 25.
0:31.7	And so we want to start by reading the passage and then we really want to dig into the text.

0:43.8	studying the Bible. So here's the passage from Matthew chapter 26. One of the 12, the man called
0:51.3	Judas Ascariot, went to the chief priests and said,
0:56.0	What are you prepared to give me if I hand him over to you?
0:59.8	They paid him 30 pieces of silver,
1:02.7	and from that moment he looked for an opportunity to betray him.
1:07.6	Now, on the first day of unleavened bread,
1:10.5	the disciples came to Jesus to say,
1:13.6	where do you want us to make the preparations for you to eat the Passover?
1:19.7	Go to so-and-so in the city, he replied, and say to him,
1:24.5	The master says, my time is near.
1:30.2	It is at your house that I am keeping the Passover with my disciples. The disciples did what Jesus told them and prepared the Passover.
1:38.2	When evening came, he was at table with the 12 disciples. And while they were eating, he said, I tell you solemnly,
1:46.9	one of you is about to betray me. They were greatly distressed and started asking him in turn.
1:53.9	Not I, Lord, surely. He answered, someone who has dipped his hand into the dish with mine
