We have a lot of news to get to this morning, starting with the House passing a bill,

ordering the Justice Department to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

After a month of wrangling, the vote was nearly unanimous.

Final approval from the Senate is expected this morning, then the measure head to President Trump for his signature.

Our senior political correspondent, Rachel Scott, is tracking the latest on Capitol Hill

This was a remarkable turn of events after the White House spent months trying to stop

this bill, Congress taking sweeping and decisive action to send it to the president's desk.

This morning, the White House says the president is preparing to sign the bill to release

the full Epstein files after nearly a unanimous vote in the House.

The yeas are 427. The nays are one.

The Senate taking quick action to get it to the president's desk.

Without objection, so ordered.

But President Trump has had the power to release this all along. Our Mary Bruce asking him, why wait for Congress? Why not just do it now? I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. I threw him out of my club many years ago because I thought he was a sick pervert. Even some within the president's party raising that same question. President was asked again and again why he doesn't just release these files.
