It's Wednesday, November 19, 2025. I'm Albert Moller, and this is the briefing, a daily analysis of news and events.

0:12.8

From a Christian worldview, there is simply no doubt what the big headline news is in the United States, in this news cycle and likely for some to come.

0:22.4

And that is the decision that was made in terms of action by the House of Representatives and then summary action by the

0:27.4

United States Senate on the same day in which you have overwhelming, and that's an understatement.

0:33.1

Only one representative, one member of the House of Representatives voted against the motion to require

0:39.1

the government to release all its files on Jeffrey Epstein. And if you look at America's

0:45.5

historic context, you could just say, okay, there are moments in which there were significant

0:50.5

turns. There was a before and an after. You can point to certain dates when something

0:56.0

was politically plausible and then instantly it wasn't. Or something was implausible and then suddenly

1:02.0

it becomes plausible. Something was acceptable and now all of a sudden it is unacceptable.

1:07.7

And when it comes to the government release of this information and with the legislation

1:12.6

that would require the Trump administration to do so, you can see an overwhelming change in the

1:19.7

American public's moral conviction on the issue. And that's really what you see in the action

1:25.3

taken yesterday in the House and in the Senate.

1:40.4

It wasn't that all of a sudden, members of the House and members of the Senate, after a long period of moral and political reflection, decided that November the 18th, 2025 was the date in which this would happen.

1:45.3

No, in the course of the public unfolding of this event, it just turned out that yesterday was the day that turns out to be the fulcrum. There's a before and after. Before yesterday,

1:51.6

there was a debate about whether or not all these files should be released. After yesterday,

1:56.9

there is overwhelming support so much so that there was only one out of 435 members of the House

2:03.5

of Representatives who voted against the release. And the Senate simply took action through a summary

2:09.6

action. Responding to the action in the House, it didn't even require the kind of roll call vote.

2:16.0

And that shows you how quickly all this has taken place.

2:18.7

The big question as of early afternoon yesterday was, what will the Senate do after the House action?
