The Supreme Court is reportedly set to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

For some context, it's a decades-long saga, but here are a few key points.

In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that women have a constitutional right to abortion in the

case of Roe vs. Wade.

Last year, the court heard the case of dobs vs. Jackson Women's Health over whether Mississippi's

15-week abortion ban was constitutional, and the case is still pending.

Monday evening, Politico obtained a draft opinion on the case, signed by a majority of the

justices, which affirms Mississippi's ban as legal, and over rules Roe vs. Wade calling

it egregiously wrong.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court verified that the draft was authentic and announced an investigation

into who spilled the beans.

So what does this mean?

Officially nothing, but unofficially, a lot.

This is an unprecedented leak from the typically ironclad Supreme Court, not the official decision,

which isn't expected until June or July.
