the fate of Donald J. Trump, former president of the United States and now criminal

defendant, is tonight in the hands of a Manhattan jury.

The seven men and five women deliberating for four and a half hours today on whether Mr. Trump was part of an

unlawful scheme to falsify business records to cover up hush money, paid to an adult film

star. He is charged with 34 counts.
