Facebook's stock went public for the first time their initial offering was $38 a share. Now they're called meta and they share is worth about $200 this morning,

which is low for them. And 21 years ago today the first Shrek movie was released in theaters a classic.

Okay, let's go. It's jumping. There's a lot to get through today. So we'll start here with the top stories.

President Biden and the first lady were in Buffalo, New York yesterday to meet with families who lost loved ones in Saturday's mass shooting.

During a speech by said quote, in America, evil will not win. I promise you hate will not prevail white supremacy will not have the last word when asked about more strict gun laws.

He said quote, it's going to be very difficult. I'm not going to give up trying. Now a quick update out of Ukraine, the Ukrainian forces inside that steel mill officially laid their weapons down yesterday as they await evacuation.

This fighting there has lasted more than three months. Russia called us a surrender while Ukraine said they completed their mission. And Finland and Sweden have both now formally submitted their NATO membership applications, which Putin is not happy about.

Now sports headlines now for you Tom Brady is about to get roasted yesterday Netflix and I would say series of upcoming roasts and Tom Brady will be a roasty. Let's talk about this. The comedy central roasts are our very intense and cruel. And that's what makes them good.

But I feel like I can't get excited about this Netflix roast until we find out who the roasters are and Tom Brady is the executive producer of this special so like they're really going to go hard after the boss. I don't know. I hope it's good. It's going to be easy to mess this up. So we'll see what happens.

In basketball, the Orlando Magic won the NBA draft lottery last night got themselves the number one overall pick for the first time since 2004. If they were really magic, they'd get it every year.

In baseball, I need to take a second to highlight Christopher Morelle. He made his big league debut last night. He plays for the Cubs. Yes, I'm a Cubs fan, but still this is cool for everybody. In his first major league at bat home run out of

Wrigley Field on to Wavelin Avenue out of the park. First at bat. It's incredible. I have that video posted in our stories right now at first thing pod on Instagram. It'll give you goosebumps. Yes, okay on to some entertainment headlines. Now these two definitely give us a lot to talk about Megan Fox and machine gun Kelly are making headlines for getting matching tattoos on their ring fingers ahead of their upcoming wedding. I got tiny little voodoo dolls right there in their finger.

I'm happy to report that Bam Marjaro from Jack S has completed a year long rehab program and he is back home with his family. He had been living at a center in Florida for an entire year. And he said that he will continue to attend outpatient treatment. His wife, Nikki and their four year old son, Phoenix moved near the treatment facility so that he can attend these classes.

I'm thrilled to see the guy getting his life. Good for him. Kanye's ex Julia Fox is all over the place right now because she went grocery shopping in her underwear and a denim blazer. I don't make news when I do that.

Christopher Maloney is in the news for a similar reason. He's detective Stabler on law and order. He's just revealed that he works out naked in his home gym. He said, quote, I don't black out the window and I'm okay with that. My wife is not. That would make me extremely uncomfortable working out naked.

He better be bleaching that bench after every workout. Regardless, he's 61 and he's in the best shape of his life. So whatever he's doing, it's working. I guess.

And lastly here, David Blaine magician illusionist. He just announced a Las Vegas residency, but he's doing one show a month because his performance would apparently kill him if he did it more than that.

He said, quote, doing it one weekend a month allows me to really push it and goes far as I can, but not break myself down. Do forget about a four day work week or whatever they're pushing for. Let's go after the one day a month schedule. I'm in.

Okay, yes, right moving on to some movie and TV headlines out of the 75th annual con film festivals underway. I will never feel confident saying the name of that city is a con. Can saying it out loud gives me anxiety. It always has. Anyway, this was canceled in 2020 and scaled way back in 2021.

So it's going to look a lot more like it used to this time around. And if you don't know much about it, it's basically the biggest most prestigious film festival a bunch of movie premieres from around the world.
