President Biden announced yesterday that the U.S. is officially banning all imports

of Russian oil, natural gas, and coal.

Biden said in his speech that, quote,

we will not be part of subsidizing Putin's war, and that he will do everything he can

to minimize gas price hikes.

Though, unfortunately, we have now spent the past year learning that everything Biden

can do is only as much as the greedy senator from West Virginia allows him to.

At the same time, the EU released a plan to reduce their own demand for Russian gas by

two-thirds before the end of the year, and completely face out Russian fossil fuels

well before 2030.

I can't believe all it took was the threat of nuclear winter.

Coca-Cola announced that their suspending operations in Russia, along with Starbucks and

McDonald's, who announced that they'll be closing all their locations, though they

will continue to pay their employees in the country.

Now let's see if Putin can withstand the loss of sous vide egg bites and superior fountain

diacokes.
