2024. The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. Bad news for Taylor Swift and good news for the rest of us.

And honestly, if you thought Taylor Swift and the president were working together,

this might prove otherwise.

The White House unveiled a budget this week for the Department of Transportation.

And there's a lot of really, really boring stuff in there.

But it's useful.

Stuff like, you know, billions of dollars to fix roads, bridges,

and railroads across America. And let's be very clear, it may not be sexy to talk about those

things, but making sure we are driving on bridges that don't collapse or riding on trains that

don't fall off the track seems pretty important. And part of this budget for the Department of

Transportation is also going to cost Taylor Swift a lot of money because part of the new plan

would be to increase the tax on jet fuel. Right now, the tax on jet fuel costs around 22 cents per

gallon. This plan would slowly increase that tax so that it eventually gets

to about a dollar and 50 cents per gallon. And remember, this is only for jet fuel specifically for

private jets. So how does this impact Taylor Swift, you might ask? Well, allegedly, no celebrity

uses their private jet more than Taylor Swift. And listen, I get it. She can't go to a regular

airport. And as a matter of fact, I don't think we would want her there because can you imagine how
