Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen acknowledged again yesterday to the Senate Finance Committee

that inflation is really bad.

She was like, guys, trust me, I get it, I work in the industry.

She added that it will likely continue into next year, as the Congressional Budget Office

predicts that the Consumer Price Index will rise 6.1% this year and 3.1% in 2023, which

is an improvement but remains above a long-term baseline of 2.3%.

Britain also said that Congress should have a role in bringing down prices through increasing

taxes on high-wealth individuals and by passing legislation for a global tax deal that

was previously included in the Never Passed Build Back Better Plan, which would tax large

multinational firms 15% wherever they operate globally.

She also said, quote, I very much hope that inflation will be coming down now.

Sorry Janet, hoping for money only works when Elon Musk does it.

Meanwhile, the World Bank warned yesterday that the global economy may be headed for years

of weak growth and rising prices, formerly known by its couple Port Manto stagflation,

and they haven't been seen together this hot and heavy since the 70s.

Maybe it would be best for the world to just take a minute, calm down, and focus on itself

before getting into yet another dysfunctional economic relationship.
