We're going to begin with much of the country on alert for dangerous weather, from possible flooding to severe storms, and the smoke from those Canadian wildfires still lingering.

Hey, good morning. So that powerful cold front that swept through parts of the Midwest yesterday had with it the flash flood emergency in

Wichita, Kansas. It had a particularly dangerous situation tornado warning outside Kansas City

and produced from Wisconsin to Texas. More than 120 severe storm reports.

This morning, new images of the severe storms sweeping across the heartland.

There it is.

A tornado in Newcastle, Oklahoma, winds gusting over 70 miles per hour in Oklahoma overnight.

And a flash flood emergency in Wichita, Kansas, five inches of rain falling in just a few hours Tuesday.
