The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. Immigration and our southern border with Mexico will most likely be one of the topics you hear about the most as we inch closer and closer to this November's election. And yesterday, the Biden

administration proposed a new policy that would make it much easier for a little over 500,000

migrants who are here illegally to get legal status in America, allowing them to not only work

legally in America, but also make it easier for them to get permanent legal

status in the country as well. But there are three major requirements for people to be eligible

for this new opportunity. First, and most importantly, the person needs to be married to a

United States citizen or be the child of a person married to a United States citizen.

Second, the person applying for this new legal status would need to have been in America

for over 10 years. Third, they need to have been married as of this past Tuesday.

So what does that all mean? Well, first off, this rule does not protect anyone who has come over the border illegally

recently.
