The latest shortage of products is hitting anyone who gets their period.

Not like it didn't suck already.

There's a tampon shortage and the tampons

that are available are insanely expensive. Prices have gone up 10%. Procter & Gamble, maker of

Tampax, is doing their best to increase their supply, but stores like Walgreens are acknowledging

shortages at some of their locations.

There are various reasons this shortage and price increase is happening.

The war in Ukraine is making the raw materials used in sanitary products more costly. And then a spokesperson for the company that makes platex and OB tampons said their

stocks of tampons have been impacted due to extensive workforce shortages caused by

Omicron surges in the U.S. and Canada earlier this year.

But there is a positive side.

This does seem like it's only temporary, but getting a period is not something you can just put on hold.

So in what's trending today, I'm going to have some great recommendations for you

of the made-for-TV special known as the House Select Committee's hearings on the January 6th riots at the Capitol.
