Thank you. This is Good Morning America. Good morning, America. We want to get right to our top story this morning. That's that wildfire

emergency in Southern California. Hard to wrap your mind around these images. Truly

devastating. Extreme winds have caused catastrophic damage,

forcing tens of thousands of people to flee their homes. Many of those homes now destroyed.

You know, my brother lives in the air. He sent me these images overnight, including, I think,

the second one right here shows the baseball field at Palisades High School right there. That's the

baseball field at Palisades High School under fire right now. Is he okay? Everything? Yeah, he's fine. He did have to evacuate. He's in Brentwood

right now and they're all watching the winds to see if they're going to have to move out of there as well.

The winds are the question. A lot of family and friends in that area who've had to evacuate Brentwood as well. They're keeping their eye on it. As you said, George, and people were forced to abandon their cars on the road. Bulldozers had to be called in to move

the vehicles as more race to escape. And take a look at this satellite image from space.

You don't just see the smoke. You can see the actual flames from space.
