Today it's winter weather.

While a lot of us are dealing with some cold temperatures,

there's a huge storm hitting the Gulf Coast of all places.

Pretty rare for a winter storm to hit the Gulf.

I refer to as a, quote, generational winter storm.

Sadly, it's reported that nine people have

already lost their lives on account of this storm. Historic amounts of snow are falling in Florida,

Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi are all dealing with it as well. There are

blizzard warnings. It's crazy. The first ever blizzard warning for the Gulf Coast.

Over 220 million people in the U.S. are affected here, dangerously cold temperatures and lots of snow.

That's then, of course, leading to school closures and travel issues.

Yesterday, according to Flightaware.com, around 2,000 flights were canceled because of it.

10,000 more were delayed.

Houston's two biggest airports were both closed yesterday,

and some parts of Texas had single-digit wind chills.

Really, it's wild.

A lot of record lows were expected to come overnight last night and even this morning.
