Yesterday Mitch McConnell spoke out against the Republican National Committee's censure

of representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, saying that January 6th was a violent

insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after

a legitimately certified election.

And while I am, of course, in agreement myself, as Cardi B says, that's suspicious.

Also, I'd care more if anything he said ever meant anything.

Today we have an update on the so-called Freedom Convoy protests in Canada.

Right now, the thousands of trucker protesters are blocking the ambassador bridge, which is

a critical crossing that connects Detroit, Michigan, with Windsor, Ontario.

It's unclear when the blockade will end, but hopefully soon, as the U.S. Department

of Transportation estimates that this bridge carries nearly 30 percent of annual trade

between the two countries.

And if there's one thing our country can't afford right now, it is less trade.

The movement was formed in protests of vaccine mandates, but the wild story here is that 91

percent of these protesters are actually vaccinated.

So my guess is that this is either the result of a deep need for psychotherapy, or Facebook.

Yesterday at a news conference, French President Emmanuel Macron told us that Vladimir Putin

told him that Russia would not further escalate the Ukraine crisis, although it will take

time to find a diplomatic solution.

Okay, so we will just take your word for it.
