0:14.0	Well, the big story in domestic politics yesterday was the Michigan primary,
0:19.0	and let's be honest, no one was really in any suspense as to how it was going to turn out on both sides.
0:25.1	On the Democratic side, there were simply no doubt that the incumbent president of the United
0:29.2	States was going to win in a landslide as you look at the Democratic primary. On the Republican
0:34.4	side it was also abundantly clear going into the Michigan primary that Donald Trump
0:39.6	was going to win in a landslide.
0:41.1	Nicky Haley got a respectable number of votes, but Donald Trump walked away with the Michigan
0:47.7	primary.
0:48.7	So in that sense, most people were probably saying, you know, that's what we knew was going to happen.
0:53.3	It happened.
0:54.3	Where's the news story?
0:55.3	Well, there are a couple of big news stories with a lot of worldview significance
0:59.8	embedded within them.
1:01.4	And the first has to do with the fact that it was a contested
1:04.8	primary on the Democratic side, even with an incumbent president of the United
1:08.9	States. And in this case, even with an incumbent who won the White House, at least largely in part because of
1:15.1	voters in Michigan.
1:17.1	Back in the 2020 general election, Michigan voters gave Joe Biden about a hundred thousand vote margin.
1:24.0	He won taking the state away from Donald Trump, who couldn't win without Michigan.
1:28.0	Donald Trump had won Michigan in 2016, but with a margin of somewhere around 12,000 votes. Those numbers turn out to be
