0:26.0	Kicking off your morning with some great news, Apple will be purchasing its microchips from the United
0:30.8	States. Apple CEO Tim Cook said the microchips will be produced by the Taiwan
0:36.4	semiconductor manufacturing company at their factory in Phoenix, Arizona.
0:42.5	Cook said, quote, today is only the beginning.
0:45.0	Today we're combining TSM's expertise with the unrivaled ingenuity of American workers.
0:51.6	We're investing in a stronger, brighter future, we're planting our seed
0:55.7	in the Arizona desert, end quote. This was announced at an event for the Arizona facility's
1:02.0	upcoming expansion, which will be partially subsidized thanks to the Chips Act that was passed in August.

1:11.3	He said this move could be a game changer since Apple has had to buy all of their advanced

1:18.1	Now, don't expect to see American-made chips in your iPhone right away.
