Yesterday, American cities like New York, Chicago, Endictoric, ranked among the worst in the world in air quality. Extreme heat is fueling fires out west. Of course, ginger stand by to track that. Stephanie Ramos starts us off. Good morning, Stephanie. George, good morning. There are some hazy skies right now from the Great Lakes to the northeast.

The air quality here in New York City has improved a bit, but that smoky air from the Canadian wildfires is really impacting millions of people across the country.

Toxic smoke for more than 700 Canadian wildfires blanketing parts of the U.S. again, and some major cities are seeing
