Hey, friends, welcome back. We are in Genesis 25 today, as you already know. And we ended our

podcast yesterday talking about some labor pains that Rebecca was having.

And Rebecca knew something was wrong.

This was intense enough or unusual enough for Rebecca to say, Lord, what's happening?

And she takes her burden right to the Lord.

And watch what the Lord tells her in verse number 23. And the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb. Well, I guess that would be a

problem. That's a big womb. What does the Lord mean by that? What the Lord means is that there are two children

and from these two children will arise two nations. Now what do we already know about the promise

of God to Abraham? We know that God has said Abraham, from you will come many nations. And then also through you will come

the Messiah who will bless many nations. So in the one sense, Abraham would be the father of many

nations. We see how that could be true with Isaac and with Ishmael and with the sons of

Kutura. And now with a grandson, grandsons, Jacob and Issa.

And Jacob will be the one that will continue on in the covenant legacy.

But Esau will be the leader of another nation.
