British Prime Minister Theresa May emerged from a seven-hour cabinet meeting on Tuesday,

announcing she wants to reach across the aisle over Brexit.

So today I am taking action to break the log jam.

I'm offering to sit down with the leader of the opposition

and to try to agree a plan that we would both stick to to ensure that we leave the European Union

and that we do so with a deal.

The exit deal would be a softer one that could include British membership of a customs union with the

EU. But as the F.T. said Payne points out, Mrs May's announcement might have broader implications

for Eurosceptics and her Conservative Party.

What's more interesting is that Mrs May is now looking to hold a runoff between her deal

and the different Brexit options.
