And the mask mandate back and forth, he said, she said, continues.

As of this very moment, you do not need to wear masks on public transportation or in an Uber or Lyft. Unless you are in New York City, which is where you do need to wear masks on all public transportation.

But all of this could change again.

The Justice Department said it will appeal the latest court ruling that struck down the government's mask mandate for travelers, but only if the CDC determines the

mask mandate is still necessary to protect public health. COVID rates are rising again all over

the country, and there is a new variant spreading as well. The CDC will continue to monitor the

rates before making a decision about enforcing another mask mandate. Until then, we are allowed to travel maskless while a debate and litigation happens.

Eighty-seven million dollars.

That is a whole lot of money, and that's how much the Catholic diocese of Camden will pay in their sexual abuse settlement.

In his statement about the settlement, Bishop Dennis Sullivan said, quote,

I want to express my sincere apology to all those who have been affected by sexual abuse

in our diocese.

My prayers go out to all their survivors of abuse, and I pledge my continuing commitment

to ensure that this terrible chapter in the history of the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey,

never happens again.
