Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was reelected as Republican leader on Wednesday, defeating

challenger Senator Rick Scott of Florida.

The McConnell Scott battle represents a growing clash within the party after it underperformed

in the midterms.

Senate Biden said Wednesday that a missile that landed inside Poland was unlikely to

have been fired by Russia.

On Tuesday, the missile struck a farm 15 miles inside Poland, killing two people.

The incident sparked discussions about convening NATO members to determine whether a military

response was warranted under the organization's Article 5.

Former President Trump's daughter Ivanka, who played a key role in his administration,

alongside her husband Jared Kushner, was conspicuously missing from Trump's presidential

announcement at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday.

In a statement Ivanka explained that she supports her father, but quote,

"'This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children in the private life we

are creating as a family.'"

The Congressional House Financial Services Committee, announced a bipartisan hearing on Wednesday

into the collapse of crypto exchange FTX.

According to the press release, the committee expects to hear from the companies and individuals

involved in the alleged scandal, including Sam Bankman-Freed, Alameda Research, Binance,

FTX, and related entities.
