When the Giants agreed to sign veteran tight-in and Kyle Rudolph to a two-year pack last week,

hit coach Joe Judge imagined pairing Rudolph with Pro Bowl tight-end Evan Ingram to give the GMN a formidable one-two punch at that spot.

But there has been a monkey wrench thrown into the plan. According to Edipal Network's Mike Garifolo, the team's medical staff believes that Rudolph is going to need foot surgery.

The deal, though, was agreed to, but not yet signed.

Well, according to NFL Network and Saturday, Ian Rappaport,

the Raiders and quarterback Marcus Mariotto are expected to continue their partnership another season.

The two sides are expected to rework his deal, making it a one-year

contract worth $3.5 million with a chance to make up to $8 million, including incentives.

Mariotta threw a touchdown in a pick and his only appearance backing up Derek Carr in 2020.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals looking to go back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season,

they made plenty of splashes and free agency thus far.

Now, not many pundits had them acquiring stars like defensive linemen JJ Watt and wide-out A.J. Green.
