When a string player like a violinist or a cellist plucks the strings on their instrument that is called playing

Pizakato. That is as opposed to playing Arco, which is when they use their bow.

Pizakato is a nice percussive sound, and Arco is a much longer and broader sound which makes string instruments pretty versatile.

It's also just a fun word to say.

Pizakato and Arco strings.

I am excited to get into it, so find a comfortable place to set, turn up the volume,

and enjoy the show. I do not play violin, cello, viola, or any other stringed

instrument like that, certainly not any bowed instruments. It's one of the instruments that I've

never taken it upon myself to learn, though you never know.

I would love to play cello. I really really love the cello and it actually kind of has like a

tambrel similarity with the tenor saxophone in some ways. So I've always felt a strong kinship with the

cello and there could come someday down the road on some strong songs

introduction where I mentioned the fact that I've been learning cello and you

maybe hear some weird cello playing going on in the background but not today.
