Heath was reporting that Facebook is planning to change its company name

to reflect its new focus on the metaverse

and the name chains might come as soon as next week at Facebook Connect,

its annual ARVIR Conference.

Quoting from Alex's reporting on the verge.

The rebrand would likely position the Blue Facebook app

as one of many products under a parent company overseeing groups

like Instagram,

what's-app, Oculus, and more.

A spokesperson for Facebook declined to comment for this story.
