A lot of us have been throwing around the term Zoom fatigue over the past year, sometimes seriously,

covered ways to combat Zoom fatigue on the show. Well, now scientists have weighed in with the facts.

In a pre-print shared this week on SSRN, so it's not yet peer-reviewed, researchers conducted a survey

of more than 10,000 people to glean insight into who is most susceptible to Zoom fatigue and what particularly causes it,

giving us a more solid foundation upon which to suggest solutions.

The researchers created a tool called the Zoom Exhaustion and Fatigue Scale, or ZeF, and measured respondents' fatigue on the scale.

And some of the findings were fairly obvious, the longer you spend on video calls in a day,
