Well, it's all coming to a head. A, T, and Verizon say they are temporarily restricting 5G expansion near U.S. airports. but a few airlines say they will still

suspend some flights beginning today amid guidance from Boeing, quoting the

Wall Street Journal. A. T&T and Verizon Communications on Tuesday afternoon accepted the new limits after a month-long

standoff between the cellular operators and aviation officials who had promised to limit flights

over concerns about the 5G

signal's effect on aircraft instruments.

President Biden on Tuesday thanked the wireless companies for the pause.

This agreement will avoid potentially devastating disruptions to

passenger travel, cargo operations and

our economic recovery while allowing more than 90% of wireless tower deployment to occur as

scheduled, he said.

Nevertheless, airline executives were left wondering whether the Federal Aviation

administrations pending safety precautions would still ground their flights.
