Here are some of the cool things from the news today.

It's been a while since I've done a shortage report, but the shortages have continued,

and in some sectors are ramping up again. Beef, potatoes, lumber, even snow plows are all in short

supply at the moment. I was talking to a friend the other day, and she mentioned that our local

grocery store was completely out of chicken. Just totally bare shelves, not a drumstick in sight.

We both thought maybe she'd gone on the day before they restock the poultry, or that this

particular grocery store was having issues. Maybe another one in the neighborhood would be better.

After all, tons of drugstores and pharmacies in our area keep closing, so it's clear that

stores are struggling. But what didn't occur to us in the moment and absolutely should have

was that it was probably the supply chain. Meats and fresh produce are the toughest to find

on grocery store shelves right now, but it's not due to a lack of food.
