I'm your friend David Pierce and it is currently 5.51 in the morning on Tuesday, September

13th, which means that A, I have to be quiet because no one else is awake yet.

And B, it means we're about 9 minutes away from the launch of the new Vurch.com.

We've been working on this for two years.

It's a redesign.

We have a new logo.

It's a totally new way of thinking about how the Vurch actually works.

And so that's actually what this episode is going to be about.

We spent two years on this, like I said, and it made us think some pretty philosophical

thoughts about how the internet works and how platforms work and what it means to just

be a person on the internet now.

I will warn you this episode is very naval gazing.

We talk a lot about the Vurch and a lot about our feelings about the Vurch, but I think

it's really interesting and it was cool to go through the same kind of stuff that a lot

of the companies we cover are going through all the time.

So we're going to get to all of that in just a second.

But first, I'm going to go refresh our website about 300 times because I can't wait to

see it.
