Tori she's back ladies and gents she's back I'm here y'all she's here and that's actually

a surprise because I prepared the devotional in the same way that I did yesterday but she's

going to be doing it with this it'll be interesting how it all works because some people even

message Tori that we definitely have routines yeah daily devotional yes and now with me reading

this devotional it'll be funny how like you pick up and now you know it's gonna be fun we're

ready for it though so we're picking up on day oh sorry day seven October 7th of the new morning

mercies devotional by Paul David trip and again as I said yesterday I actually wrote it down and

paraphrased it in a way that I could articulate it so I'm gonna read that and then we'll take it

from there and it says let's be honest for a few moments what do you tell yourself that you are

lacking what are you believing that you can't live without what are the quote if only's and quote

that you carry around that if you had in your life life would meet your expectations definitely

encourage you guys to pause and reflect on those questions but the devotional continues the main

goal of these questions is to point out what things on this earth capture our heart and in doing so

they control our thoughts they control what we say and they control how we behave Paul writes about

these struggles by saying this if then you have been raised with Christ seek the things that are

above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God set your mind on doing things that are above

not on things that are below on the earth collotions three verses one and two you see Paul

news audience Paul knows us Christ knows us and what they seem to know is that even though we are

God's children the spiritual war is not over for us we are in a constant and I mean constant struggle

as to who and what will sit on the throne of our hearts and as you unpack what Paul was saying in

that scripture after you boil it down there can actually only be two things that rules our hearts
