Hey guys, welcome to the Oak Shaped podcast.

So I'm sitting down with my beautiful wife of 15 years marriage.

We just celebrated our anniversary.

And we're going to talk about that because we went to the

2024 CrossFit Games as spectators. And I think there's a lot of media being made about it right now,

and so I'm going to drop this bonus podcast. One, because it's going to be a little bit therapeutic

for me to talk about this, which I don't ever talk about my feelings, as you can attest. Number two, my podcast downloads absolutely suck this year

compared to year over year. Seriously, did you know that? There's so many podcasts out there,

so many options for people. Mm-hmm. I take it personally. I'm joking. But for those that

tune in, I really appreciate you.

This is year seven.

We're like finishing up year seven.

This is, we're over halfway.

We're doing a podcast a long time.

And I do enjoy long-form media, kind of uninterrupted.

So this would be a good place to kind of chat about that.

So if you didn't know, an athlete died at the CrossFit

games this year, how do you say his last name? Dukich. Dukich. Lazar Dukich. Let's just say

Lazzar. He's been in the space for a while. He's like a legit athlete. He took first place at his

semifinals in Europe. He was the fittest man in

Europe. Say less. I mean, that's yeah. Okay. And his brother made it as well. For the first time.
