Today we're diving into a really interesting approach to personal style that I think

you're going to find super helpful for your sewing practice. We're talking about Alison Bornstein's

three-word method for defining your style. So we're going to cover what this method is all about,

how we've personally applied it to our own wardrobes, and most importantly, how you can use it to make more intentional choices about what you sew next.

Our icebreaker today, Haley, if you had to choose one adjective that other people would use to describe your style, what do you think it would be?

I prepared for this question.

I asked Eric what he would say, and he said put together,

which is interesting. I'm laughing because I asked Ken, and that was one of the things he said, too,

which I think is just kind of like one, like you look good. Yeah. Yeah. I think how I'm interpreting it is that I dress intentionally.

Mm-hmm.

And so I think that he sees me, you know, like try on an outfit and then change the top and then, you know, add the earrings and stuff.

And he's like, wow, she's so put together.

She thinks about what she wears where he's very much like what's at the

front of my closet. Yeah. It's like a filing cabinet. Yeah. Approach, I don't know, to picking your

clothing. So put together is what he would say. I don't know what other people would describe my,

I feel like my style's changed a lot over the last five years.

It's very, it's classic.

It's very like, I don't know, I think kind of casual but fun.
