All right, turn to Matthew Chapter 2 and Luke Chapter 2.

These are the chapters that have the Christmas story in them,

so we're going to continue talking about Christmas this weekend

Matthew chapter 2 first and then we'll flip over to Luke chapter 2.

Last week I shared with you a message called O little town of Bethlehem and this week I'm going to talk about we three kings

But not simply the magi that came from the, but there are two other kings mentioned in the Christmas story

that I want us to talk about and actually contrast as well.

So Matthew chapter 2, verse 1, all of the kings are in this verse.

Matthew 2 1 says, now after Jesus, can I just get a little

amen from you that that's the king, the king the true king of Christmas after Jesus was

born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king we're going to talk

about that king as well.

Behold wise men from the east came to Jerusalem.

So we're going to talk about the wise men.

We're going to talk about Herod and we're going to talk about Jesus.

So if you're taking notes here's point number one.

Point number one, the joyous keys.

The joyous keys.

Now these are the wise men.

They came from Jerusalem, verse one says. Now let's pick it up with verse Notice this phrase King of the Jews because Herod picked up on that by the way.

For we've seen his star in the east and have come to worship him.

And then they get the scrolls and they say, well it's in Bethlehem, and so they leave to go to Bethlehem.
