Hey everybody, welcome to the Michael Still podcast. Yes, it's another week in Paradise.

We are surviving and moving forward as a strong nation should. And I'm so glad you could

be a part of the conversation today. I've got my buddy Steve Schmidt in the house today.

There's always a pleasure to get him on point to sort of give us a taste of what's going on.

And he does it in such an erudite way. He brings that philosophy as well as the politics. So

there's no confusion about where he's coming from. You guys know him. He is one of the founders,

one of the key founders of the Lincoln project. It's a respective strategist and certainly one of

the more incisive voices in US politics today. He ran and really pulled out of a trouble spot

but made competitive the John McCain campaign back in 2008 with a great effort there. And of course

his work now with the Lincoln project has really changed the way we do politics and look at a lot

of big important issues. Steve, man, it's always a trip to have you around baby. You just you keep

it real and you make it fun and you shake things up. And that's that's the kind of politics that I've

always been accustomed to having grown up in DC and learned from the likes of Mary and Barry and

Joe Yel del and some of the founding fathers of DC politics. And to watch it kind of play out on

the national stage with some of the stuff that you guys did at Lincoln project this past year was

just phenomenal. So congrats Kudos on top of that. You know right out of the box. I was honored to

be a part of it and to make a mark there. Now that we are 15, 16, 17 days into the Biden

administration, how are you assessing things? We know we have January 6, which is we'll get to that

in in in a moment. But just sort of given everything that we've seen play out, how are you looking at

how are you assessing the country's ability to recover and and from Trump and Trumpism to a certain

degree and to begin to get some new footing? Well, great to be with you as always, Michael. I
