Hi, everyone. This is Curtis, and I am excited to tell you about a new feature of the GoodFaith podcast, and it's called Campfire Stories.

0:11.0

Now, in a great campfire, everyone has the opportunity to share their stories. And so, in Campfire Stories, we want to hear from you.

0:20.0

We want to hear a story about what you are doing along the themes of the GoodFaith podcast, perhaps it's something about how you're living out your relationships with political polarization, how you are trying to reflect the image of God in your institution and organization, or what you're doing with your money, or your vocation, anything that has been sparked by the themes that we've covered here in the GoodFaith podcast is fear game.

0:47.0

It doesn't matter if it's a big story, a small story, or something in between, as long as it's a story about what you are doing in your life.

0:55.0

We're not so much interested in hearing just thoughts. We want to hear stories of doing.

1:00.0

So, we'll put a link in the show notes where you can just click on it and then supply us the basic outlines of your story of doing, of living out the themes of GoodFaith podcast.

1:11.0

And we'll look at it and we may invite you to share that story on a GoodFaith blog, a social media, or perhaps even invite you to come on the GoodFaith show yourself and talk to me and share your story.

1:25.0

Like, how cool would that be? I'd love to hear from you. I'd love to talk with you. So, please consider joining the campfire by actually joining actively and sharing your story with others gathered around the campfire.

1:38.0

Thanks.

Welcome to the GoodFaith podcast. I'm David French with Curtis Chang. And Curtis, I have a confession to make.

1:56.0

What's that David?

1:57.0

This is the first professional act I've undertaken in about five days. And I've, I've bookended my week with podcasts on Monday. I was feeling a little under the weather. So I tested, took a home test for COVID tested positive.

2:15.0

I've, you know, I've waxed and boosted that positive. I've pretty sure it's this Omicron nonsense. And then I recorded a podcast with my friends Guy Jitani at the Holy Post, feeling okay, feeling kind of fine.

2:28.0

And then as soon as I finished recording that podcast, I crashed. I really crashed. So this is the first day in five days that I'm feeling decent enough to do anything.

2:42.0

And so I thought, Hey, let's podcast. I will, I ended my, I, I ended my Monday with a podcast. I'll start my Friday. We're recording this on a Friday with a podcast. And, and I'm, I'm happy to say that I'm feeling better. But I can tell you the last five days have been no picnic.

3:03.0

And how much of, how much of the vigil did you watch while you were sick?

3:08.0

The, the vigil. It's just called vigil. Oh, sorry, vigil. So Curtis is referring to one of my favorite genre of television shows, which is the British crime drama.

3:19.0

And so my wife and I discovered a drama called vigil that is by the makers of line of duty, which long time listeners of various dispatch podcasts will know that I have been a supporter of the show line of duty for a long time.

3:34.0

So I think it's by the same people who did line of duty. And it combines basically everything I like, which is sort of military drama and British crime drama. It's a murder.

3:47.0

Curtis on a British nuclear submarine. So I watched it for the first episode last night on the recommendation of your wife, because what of my great handicaps in life is I am away to picky of a TV watcher.

4:02.0

And we struggle with my wife and I to find something that we both will want to watch.

4:07.0

And so Nancy, your wife suggested vigil, sorry, not the vigil, just vigil. And I am totally hooked. So I'm in. I'm signing up for the full six episode crews. I'm there.
