0:19.2	I am the Spanish teacher in middle school and lately there's been a situation that's come up.
0:27.0	I just want to know if I handled it the right way and if there's anything else I should do.

0:35.0	Basically, the other, another department, the music department,
0:40.0	told my department that they believe we are discouraging kids from taking music
0:46.0	classes once they get to the high school because we help them transition with
0:49.6	scheduling which is not the case we haven't been doing that.

0:56.0	The music department is saying that the language department is trying to talk
1:02.0	kids out of music because why? Language Department do that, do that,
1:03.0	out of music because why would you,
1:06.0	why would the Spanish Language Department do that,
1:09.0	did they say?
1:10.0	They believe it's because there is competition for enrollment in electives and neither
1:17.5	banned or Spanish are required once you get to ninth grade. Kids sort of do what they do.
1:25.0	Yes, that is the situation they're allowed.
1:29.0	By the time they get to high school, that's not usually when they start music they usually are already
