So here's the thing y'all. This election season has been unlike any other and I don't just mean the mechanics of it

You know one candidate dropping out with

Practically three and a half months to go and another one coming in or the fact that the other candidate is

trying to reach the White House again after falling asleep in his own trial in

the courtroom. I mean the way that it's weighed on American society, on global society.

Everyone on the planet has an opinion about what they hope will happen here.

Foreign governments, international communities, and most certainly we've had

increasingly nuanced conversations here among our own citizens and neighbors and friends.

And all of this comes just four years after a global pandemic that so many of our loved ones

did not survive. We are tired. We are worn, we are weary. We didn't even have time to

publicly grieve all that we've endured because while that global pandemic was happening we were also in the

last most important election of our lives.

I know, I know, I know, we are ready to very simply breathe again

to put down our phones and stop the doom scrolling

to feel like we don't have to clock every single poll

to feel like we don't have to make gut-wrenching decisions every time we wake up.

I know. I also know that our ancestors did far more with far less.

I also know that spiritually I am clear that justice is divine and it is owed us. it is due us. There's nothing that can actually stop a righteous group of people

from ensuring a justice and freedom and liberation is on the ensuring that

justice and freedom and liberation is on the horizon.

That arc of the moral universe really does bend

in the direction we want it to.
