Under normal circumstances, I'd be reaching out around this time of year to ask you to donate money to Israel's story.

We'd create some sort of polished appeal with snippets from different episodes and music and nice sound design.

I'd say that the kind of human interest storytelling we've been doing for the last 13 years

is the most powerful prism through which to understand reality in this

corner of the world.

That stories enter our hearts, change our minds, and help us grasp complexity.

But obviously these are not normal circumstances.

Our lives have been turned upside down.

Our small team is working around the clock producing wartime diaries, and quite frankly

we don't have the time or the bandwidth to launch a fancy fundraising campaign.

But we do need your help. You know, everyone always says this, but the truth really is that without

your generous support, Israel's story won't be able to continue operating much longer.

Two major events shaped life in Israel in 2003,

the judicial reform and the war. In both cases Israel's story responded immediately

pivoting our entire operation with our sign seal delivered series about the

Declaration of Independence, and our wartime diaries

that try to capture slivers of life right now.

Our reaction to everything going on around us has just been to record and produce, interview and research, edit and release.
