I understand people don't want to see it,

but closing your eyes to something doesn't make it less real.

And if this guy is really who his party plans to coalesce behind,

once Trump is out of the picture, then we need to be clear-eyed about what the Republican party,

not only supports in Florida, but would unleash on the entire country.

Almost two years ago, I did a rant in my kitchen about how the Republicans were baited testing fascism in Florida.

I compared Ron DeCentis to one of those raptors in Jurassic Park,

the ones who test the fence for weaknesses.

I said, if you were paying attention, you could see that Ron was seeing how far he pushed things before he got pushed back.

And now, if you look at what's happening in Florida, you can see that they found a fair amount of weaknesses in democracy's fence.

So I thought today we would take some time to talk about what's going on in Florida.

The warning signs we should be aware of, the legislation that's being jammed through,

and the man leading it all, who, despite his complete lack of personality and interest in democracy,

is at the top of the GOP list for President of the United States, right under their twice impeached,

criminally indicted ex-president, who, for reasons unknown, still remains their frontrunner.

With all the terrible harmful bills passing in red states across the country,

the ones that limit our votes and our human rights, and lead hard into the culture wars that Republicans use so strategically

to distract us from their complete lack of policy or ability to solve problems.

Florida, despite Texas and now Tennessee's best efforts, remains top of the list for violating citizens' rights and calling it freedom.
