For decades, Bill Cosby was one of the most beloved and admired entertainers in the industry, period.

He was also a pioneer who shattered color barriers, but then Cosby's image was shattered,

with revelations of his years of sexual predation and his 2016 rape conviction.

Millions of fans were heartbroken, especially many in the black community who had taken

so much pride in his success. In the new show time series, we need to talk about Cosby.

W. Camille Bell tackles that complex legacy and the culture that enabled it.

It is about how people with power can choose to have access to the worst parts of their humanity

and how once you have power, people will allow you to do that in front of them and not say anything.

I am joined by my colleague in banter, Matt Bellany. Hello, Matt. Hi there. So, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has surprised many in the Hollywood community. My colleague Scott Feinberg at the Hollywood Reporter

disclosed that they are planning to have no vaccine requirement. That has been, as you know,

for everything that has been a requirement, like anything that you go to in Hollywood.

You will still have to have a recent test, but no vaccine. And of course, you know, there are people,

some of whom, you know, you and I both know who, who are unvaccinated, who they are going to

want to have at this ceremony. The Academy Awards, as we have discussed multiple times,

they're in trouble. We don't have a blockbuster movie nominated this year. Some people are in the industry

have, you know, complained to me like, why would you not nominate Spider-Man No Way Home when it's

such a great movie and so well made? I don't, I, that's a feeling. But guess what? It didn't make the cut.

And, you know, as I know you will want to comment, a Japanese movie, a foreign language movie did.

That's not exactly commanding the eyeball.
