How are you doing?

There's a movie called Being There with Peter Sellers where he plays a very quiet, soft-spoken man who seldom says more than two words,

whose name is Chauncey Gardner.

And he becomes like a guru figure to the rich people,

whom he works for,

kind of almost like a Jesus figure.

And it's a really good example of how we project onto others the things that we want to see.

So with Brendan Dassey, he is very quiet. He's young.

And he seems like he could be easily manipulated on first glance.

And if anything, a bit naive.

And making a murderer certainly played on this when they showed him asking the police,

am I going to make this class, am I going to make that class,

when it's so obvious to everyone who's watching it that he's not going anywhere.

But I have quite a different impression of that he's not going anywhere.

But I have quite a different impression of Brendan Dassey.
