We're podcasting some of you know we stacked these up. This is recorded a long time ago from when you're hearing it. Yeah, which means we have nothing timely to say about anything.

And yeah, if you heard last week's episode, that's probably a good thing. We we don't know what's happening. And we're glad that there's no way we can weigh in probably. I don't know if I can shit start. Anyway, uh, it's a three three voicemail week. We're doing throw voicemails.

Throw voicemails. That's what we do when we're on these off weeks. We give you three voicemails in lieu of current events. And what is the show pretel?

We are the show. Yo is this racist where we listen to your voicemails this week. There's three of them. And we, uh, and we gently roast you for the length of the call that you do us.

Usually a little too long. Yeah, I'm trying to use some of that's Andrew T and then our producer Kevin Bartell is here. Um, so yeah, we got nothing. I'm wearing. I'm a hat guy now. I like it. I got. I got a hat that I finally like. I want to get a doggers hat.

It's a angel city Dodgers hat. So the LA LA is in pink and it's got an angel city crest on the side. Cool. Cool. My favorite hat. It's a good hat.

And my hair is getting long enough that it's doing that really sticks out the side kind of kind of mess right here.

It does kind of make your like more controversial takes sound even wilder. Like you're just like, Hey, man, I'm just asking questions.

Yeah, I look like a like a real real good. But that's anyway, that's what we're up to. Uh, yeah, voicemail it.

Let's voice it out. Hey, it was this racist crew. My name is Cohen. I use he shared their pronouns. Um, I have a story that I know is definitely racist and more so asking how to handle it.

Um, so I'm a developmental support aid for toddlers. So I bought around to different day cares and preschools and help kids out. And I have a set of twins who I work with who are East Asian.

Um, there are other aids working with other kids in the center at the same time as me. And we were making jokes about the drivers and the city that I live in and, um, and then another aid.

Um, who is South Asian, um, was talking about where she used to live in Richmond DC and said that it was just not fair. Um, and that conversation kind of ended, but like a minute later, my two kids and supporting.

Um, who in our East Asian are in a toy car and she comes up to me, the South Asian lady and those looks at them, looks at me and goes.

It's the Chinese drivers in Richmond who don't know how to drive. I don't know how they get their license. And I definitely made like a stink face in reaction to that comment.

But I hesitated to like actually call it out because I was sort of thinking how as a white person do I call that out without coming across like super patronizing it, it just, it felt weird with like a person of color being the one making that kind of comment.

Um, so yeah, any tips you have on how to handle that when it's not another white person would be much appreciated. Thanks. Love the show.

There is something, look, I haven't seen the entirety of the key and peel cannon, but there must be somewhere, some sketch that's like the white person having to just like freeze when it's a brown person doing the racism and they're like, what do I say?

That's I try race board somewhere. Yeah, but the next layer of this truly is that it's a different type of Asian person making a LOL Asian drivers joke.

And the white person just absolutely short circling and being like, I have no idea what to do here.

Oh, it's not funny, but it also very much is I mean, it is a little just like what yeah, what are you what are you supposed to do with all this shit?

Yeah, is there a world where for white people the best answer is like, wow, you really sound like, you know, my uncle father, me right now.
