It's been nearly four decades since police in rural Maine made a horrifying discovery.

The description of what happened is enough to send chills through your body.

A baby just minutes old left to freeze to death in a northern Maine gravel pit.

But Maine state police have announced they now have a suspect behind bars.

And in Texas, an update in a case we covered last month.

As investigators are searching for the man they say killed 24-year-old Felicia Johnson.

Where is the Houston man police say murdered her? Questions haunting a

heartbroken family who are desperate for answers. Our first case today has to do with a horrific

discovery in Maine over four decades ago now. We'll take us through that discovery back in December of 1985.

So this was December 7th of 1985, and a child's body was found dead in Frenchville, Maine,

after a dog found the newborn child and carried her less than 700 feet to his owner's home.

So the way this discovery was made was just truly awful.

The owner called police after noticing the body of this child. Frenchville, Maine is in far northern Maine

on the Canadian border, and police there obviously jumped into an investigation right away.

Maine state police were involved. They determined that the baby was abandoned in sub-zero temperatures at a gravel pit in

Frenchville.
