Summary

The late Supreme Court Justice, Antoni Scalia told us that “gridlock” was designed into our system by our founders. Of course it was. As people who fought a war against a tyrant, they wanted it to be as difficult as possible for people to create bottlenecks of power. How is it, then, that “conservatives” on FOX News and elsewhere failed to grasp the importance of the force conservatives applied to get the tools necessary to make Kevin McCarthy the first Speaker in our lifetimes who isn’t a congress unto himself? This is not only a return to something closer to our American system, it is much closer to how God prescribes leaders to behave.

1 Peter 5:2-4

“Therefore, the honorable Kevin McCarthy of the state of California, having received a majority of the votes cast, is duly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives." I pray that We The People are represented and that the concessions lead to positive results in Congress.
