Hey, good morning. It's Jeannie Yandel. It's Monday. This is Seattle now. Spring is well and truly

underway, which means it's mushroom hunting season, in the woods in and around Seattle.

The forest is awesome.

Yeah.

So much, so much beautiful environment, you know, still eagles in the sky.

And the mushrooms are a big part of it.

Daniel Winkler is a professional mushroom forager.

In a minute, we'll take a trip with him to see just how easy it is for novice foragers to find a tasty meal. But first, here's what's coming up this week.

It's filing week for November's election in Washington.

Candidates who want to run for state, local, and federal races have until Friday to get all their paperwork in.

Of course, many people have already announced their intentions to run, particularly for our open governor's seat.

Twelve people have announced bids so far, including current Attorney General Bob Ferguson,

former King County Sheriff and Congressman Dave Reichert, and official Republican nominee, Semmy Bird.

The State Department of Transportation is sharing plans this week to replace the aging Funtleroy Ferry Terminal in West Seattle.

The ferry terminal is the only way to get from Seattle to Vashon Island with a car.
