are getting an earful these days from constituents who say there are too many families grieving from gun violence in Seattle.

Parents of students who attend Garfield High say the city needs to do more after a student was shot in the leg waiting for the bus last week in an apparent drive-by shooting.

Everything breaks my heart that's going on. It's not that I'm only here because

this particular thing broke my heart. What it did was it broke my willingness to wait any longer

for these long-term solutions. We'll hear more from Garfield parents and students in a minute,

But before all that, let's get you caught up.

This year's primary election is set to be certified Friday, which means today is the last day to make

sure your ballot was counted. More than 60,000 ballots have some kind of issue preventing them from

being tallied. The Secretary of State's office says a lot of you forgot to check the box

identifying your political party. We'll leave a link in the show notes where you can check on

yours. We've always thought Washington was the state of champions, but Vancouver, Washington's

Yogesh route proved it on the Jeopardy stage this week. He beat out 26 other contestants to win

the game's tournament of champions.

Rout walks away with $250,000 and a chance to tape another Jeopardy Masters tournament later this year.
