Good morning. We are recording in the morning. We don't usually record in the morning because Sydney is usually frantically scribbling away and writing his morning column on a Monday. But this week he doesn't have to do that. No La Liga. But there was international football. There was the Nations League quarterfinal

between Spain and Netherlands, which finished 3-3 last night at Mestaya, 5-5 on aggregate. It went to

penalties and Spain won 5-4 on penalties. They're

through to the Nations League Final Four where they will meet France in June. Sid, I mean,

this was, I thought this was a pretty high, high-quality, elite game of international football.

It really was.

Brilliant fun.

None of us wanted extra time.

I don't mean the players wanted extra time.

The clubs that they play for certainly didn't want extra time.

And to be honest, we didn't want extra time either.

But you know what?

I'm glad we got it because it made for half an hour more of this because it wasn't a case of extra time the two teams shutting down and the two teams tiring out and failing to create chances.

We got an absolutely brilliant laminia mile goal.
