A message from Romans chapter 15 verse 13.

As you turn there, let me start by telling you that when you understand the names of God,

you are much more positioned to receive the help he wants to give you. And God does not just

have a single name, he has so many names that you find throughout scripture. And one of the things David tells us it's so helpful is that

when we know God's name it helps us to put our trust in him. Those who know your

name will put their trust in you and that's one of the reasons that God has so many different names

he's revealed himself to us as

because no one thing can contain all.

Now, of course, the name that's above every name

is the name of Jesus, but he also has many

different names that speak of what he needs to be to us in the moment.

So for example, you might have heard or sung the word

gyra, gyra, you are enough, right? That comes from Abraham and Isaac, Genesis 22.

You have the story where Abraham and Isaac go on to a mountain called Mount Moriah,

and Isaac's looking around going, where's the lamb?

Where's the lamb?

If we're going to come sacrifice, where's the lamb?

Now what his father says to him is prophetic. He says

Jehovah Jaira. It means the Lord will provide or literally the Lord himself will provide or literally the Lord himself will provide or you could

actually say the Lord will provide himself. Jehovah, Jaira and course, we know that thousands of years later on that exact mountain,

the same place, Mount Mariah, outside of the city of Jerusalem,

God did provide himself as the Lamb to take away the sins of the world.
